Our client is a independent ethnic grocer operating in the GTA with multiple locations. 

Our client is seeking a sourcing, procurement and supply chain leader that will set up a strategic vision for the short and long-term supply chain strategies to support and modernize the current operations and set the retailer up for success as it looks to expand. 

Reporting to the CEO, the CSCO will initially execute a strategic analysis of the current retail and prepared food business operations, with the focus of modernizing the procurement and inventory capabilities. They will develop relationships with existing vendors and suppliers, ensuring prices and contracts allow for continued profitability

The Chief Supply Chain Officer will bring a minimum of 10+ years of progressive supply chain/procurement/strategic sourcing experience ideally gained in the grocery retail industry. The CSCO will be a true business partner and thrive in an entrepreneurial environment. They can ‘cherry pick’ best supply chain practices from Tier 1 grocery retailers and bring them to life in an organization where processes have been manual and not technology driven. They will bring to life a supply chain vision, design a roadmap to deliver on functional objectives as the company looks to grow in the future.

Experience sourcing and pricing grocery products for specific ethnic markets would be considered an asset.
