Vice President, SAP & Enterprise Applications - Hydro One

Hydro One is Ontario’s largest electricity transmission and distribution service provider, serving 1.5 million customers, with $32.8 billion in assets as of December 31, 2023, and revenues of approximately $7.8 billion in 2023. With a history spanning over 110 years, Hydro One plays a critical role in delivering energy across 90% of the province, including to 22 remote communities in Ontario’s far north. As a publicly traded company (TSX: H), Hydro One is deeply committed to community investment, sustainability, and diversity, ensuring a modern, reliable energy infrastructure for future generations.

Hydro One is seeking a Vice President, SAP & Enterprise Applications to lead the organization’s enterprise applications strategy and delivery, with a primary focus on overseeing a transformative SAP transition from ECC to S/4HANA in the cloud. Reporting to the EVP, Digital and Technology Solutions, the Vice President, SAP & Enterprise Applications provides strategic leadership for technology initiatives, delivered through business-oriented lens. This role will be instrumental in shaping the organization's long-term enterprise strategy. In the first 24 months, the Vice President will play a critical role in successfully leading the organization through its SAP transformation, migrating from ECC to S/4HANA.

As a key member of the technology leadership team, the Vice President will engage directly with the Board, senior leadership, and key business stakeholders to ensure enterprise applications are governed effectively and contribute to Hydro One’s broader strategic goals. The role demands strong project oversight, ensuring that the ERP transformation is executed with clear governance, risk management, and change management frameworks. This leader will be responsible for fostering cross-functional collaboration, securing buy-in across the organization, and ensuring the seamless adoption of new technologies while maintaining operational stability.

The successful candidate will bring deep SAP expertise and a proven ability to lead complex technology transformations at an enterprise scale. With at least a decade of leadership experience in enterprise applications, they will have a track record of successfully guiding organizations through SAP modernization while managing internal teams and external partners. Experience in a regulated industry, particularly within utilities or large-scale infrastructure organizations, would be an asset. The role requires strong business acumen, an understanding of the evolving ERP landscape — including AI-driven automation and cloud-based platforms — and the ability to drive cost-effective, high-impact solutions.

This is an opportunity to shape the future of Hydro One’s enterprise technology landscape and lead a foundational digital transformation that will impact the organization for years to come.

Applications are encouraged immediately and should be submitted online. We thank all those who express an interest, however only those chosen for further development will be contacted.
