Reporting to the Vice President, Finance, the AVP People & Culture is accountable for leading the organization to achieve its strategic priorities through its innovative culture and people. This position is integral to organizational success and supports the mission, vision, and goals of the organization. Working with the Vice President, Finance, the Chief Executive Officer and the Senior Leadership Team, they will be accountable for developing and implementing focused and effective strategies and initiatives that elevate the employee experience and drive high performance, while fostering a healthy and supportive environment that values learning and development.

This calls for a Senior Human Resources leader who brings strategic thinking and broad organizational experience. They will be a visionary and impactful leader committed to reconciliation and decolonization, equity, diversity, inclusion and anti-racism. This person will be a role model for Alberta Innovates’ values and will lead by example.
