Head of School, Balmoral Hall School
Winnipeg, MB
For nearly 125 years, Balmoral Hall School (BH) has been dedicated to providing an all-girls learning environment that prepares students for success in a rapidly evolving global world. With a vibrant student community of approximately 500 learners, including boarding students, and a dedicated team of over 100 faculty and staff, Balmoral Hall is committed to guiding each student on a personalized and enriching educational journey. As a leader in STEAM education, BH takes great pride in fostering innovation and leadership.
Reporting to the Board of Governors, the Head holds overall responsibility for the academic and administrative leadership of the school. Guided by BH’s 2025-2030 Strategic Plan, the new Head will focus on three key priorities: establishing BH as a globally recognized and trusted brand, fostering an unlimited learning community, and cultivating a culture of philanthropy and financial sustainability. Building on the school’s strong foundation, the Head will lead the charge in advancing Balmoral Hall as a center of excellence and a global leader in teaching and girls’ education.
The new Head of School will be an experienced educational leader with the ability to provide inspiration, support, and guidance to the entire community. While appreciating BH’s rich traditions and history, the ideal candidate will also embrace innovation, particularly in the areas of STEAM education and personalized learning. They will be warm, nurturing, and approachable, and they will have a track record of being visible in their school community, present at events, and engaging regularly with students. An understanding of board governance and experience delivering on strategic priorities is essential. The Head will possess the skills and knowledge to advance cutting-edge teaching and learning and a deep passion for girls’ education.
